This year we are making use of our cultivator press to prepare ground prior to drilling spring beans. We normally drill straight onto the ploughing but establishment on the heavier parts of the land has never been as good as it could be, so we are aiming for a finer seed bed this year

Around the 20th of the month, we made a start on planting this years spring beans. New Quarto seed has been bought in from Acorn Arable this year as our home saved seed had been tested positively for Bean Stem Nematode.
