The first two weeks of this month have been ideal conditions for the spread of Downy Mildew which has rapidly taken hold in our Spring Beans. We have had to apply a fungicide for the control of this disease.

Seen here on the 16th, our Pearl Winter Barley is ripening rapidly in the hot weather.
Our diary entry for July last year, shows we started to harvest barley on the 22nd July.
