This month has started wet, and we are now getting behind with autumn herbicide application to both wheat and barley.
With every wet day that passes, a bigger question mark grows over planting our winter beans, which will not like being ploughed in in these conditions. Spring beans might be on the agenda.
Feed wheat has been sold for movement this month at 57 per tonne.

Spraying Volunteer Beans

On the 7th, a weather window allowed us to complete autumn herbicide at Hadley. Although very wet under foot, volunteer beans were top priority.

On the 20th, we started moving our first 100 tonne contract of wheat which is going to Sun Valley Foods at Hereford.
